UC DAVIS: Retirees' Association

A favorite respite, the UC Davis Arboretum in the spring with redbud blooming.

UCDRA Scholorships

For many years, the University of California Retirees’ Association (UCDRA) has awarded scholarships to people who are regular employees at UC Davis and taking classes at the same time.  The Staff Assembly has been doing the same thing for many more years and they have allowed UCDRA to “piggy-back” on their process to choose applicants to whom it can award financial assistance.  The tasks of verifying employment and enrollment are done by the Staff Assembly.

A UCDRA Board representative reads the applications and chooses one or two persons to receive the funds allotted by the Board.  With Board approval, the UCDRA Treasurer sends a letter to the winners, outlining the process by which they can receive their funds.

A member of the UCDRA Board may appear at the Staff Assembly’s annual TGFS picnic if they wish to publicly announce the winners.
