About the UC Davis Retirees' Association
The purpose:
- To provide opportunities for continuing interest in and support for the excellence of the University of California, Davis.
- To inform and assist members of the Association in utilizing the benefits available to them and to enhance University benefit programs for retirees.
- To foster continuing involvement in UC Davis through volunteer or part-time employment.
- To provide the means for interaction among retirees through a diversity of cultural, intellectual and social programs.
- To act in concert with similar associations on other campuses of the University for the welfare of University retirees.
The UCDRA is officially recognized by the University of California, Davis.
The UCDRA meets three times a year: Fall, Winter and Spring.
Your retirement organization:
- Informs you of benefits available and changes affecting retirees
- Provides you with three newsletters a year
- Represents you as a voting member of the UC Retirees' Council (CUCRA) which includes all ten campuses and laboratories
- Works with the UC Davis Emeriti Association and the Council of Emeriti Associations (CUCEA) representing all ten campuses and laboratories
- Awards staff educational scholarships annually to both UC Davis and UC Davis Health System campuses
- Is non-profit, non-partisan
- Sponsors social activities and stimulating, informative programs:
- Annual October meeting with Office of the President representatives regarding upcoming changes for benefits, health insurance, COLA, etc.
- State and Federal legislature and regulations affecting retirees
- Campus educational, cultural and volunteer opportunities
- Campus updates
